GREYMOUTH HARBOUR BOARD. XrOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that • the Greymouth Hqrbour Board (hereinafter called the Board) intends to introduce in the House of Representatives, during its present session, a Bill for the purposes appearing hereunder. A.copy of the proposed Bill has been deposited at each of the following places, viz.:I—The 1 —The Board’s Office, Gresson Street, Greymouth, and the Magistrate’s Court, at Hokitika. Such copies are open to public inspection during office hours, and without fee. The following is a summary of the objects of the bill: — (1) To enable the Board to borrow a sum not exceeding £40,000, for the purchase, fltting-out and delivery at some port in New Zealand of a combined grab hopperdredge and tug.

(2) To provide for the making and levying of a special rate over the whole of the Board’s rating area by way of security for such loan, such rate to be levied on the capital value of lands within such rat-ing-area. ■* !

(3) To confer rating and other powers on any Receiver appointed by the Supreme Court after the Board has made default in payment of any principal or interest moneys payable by it in respect of such loan.
