Charles Forsythe, Canadian variety artist and manager, is sponsoring the scheme. “I believe people will play fair —and giv -, us what they think the show is worth," he says. This is only part of a big £ I Oti.titlt) scheme. Mr Forsythe, leader of the well-known act "Forsythe, Seaman and Farrell," means to take advantage of the “back-to-variety” move both in England and America. “I shall have 500 British artists on my pay roll by Christinas. We are going to give some of them a ‘break,’ lighten up their acts and give Ihcint polish. Wo shall take a theatre, and there, will be no charge for the scats. People will pay as they leave."
