WEDDING

TENNENT—GREENHILL. The wedding was solemnised by Rev. H. R. Fell, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, yesterday afternoon, of Dorothy Florence, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Greenhill, Shakespeare Street, and William Ogilvie Tennent, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Tennent, Nelson Street. Miss M. Coburn presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained frock of waterlily green silk velvet, with shirred bodice, and close-fitting leg o’ mutton sleeves, forming points over the hands. Her veil was of green net, with a plaited halo effect, and shirred edgings, and she carried a sheaf of freesias, Iceland poppies, arum lilies and maiden hair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Jean Grecnhill, whose frock was of emerald green velvet, cut on similar lines to that of the bride, and finished with a slight train. She wore a plaited halo of emerald green silk velvet, relieved with lemon and gold blossoms, and carried an Autumn-tinted sheaf of gailIc.rdias and iceland poppies. Mr. William Ogilvie, cousin of the bridegroom was best man. As the bridal party left the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Alison Anderson niece of the bridegroom. The reception was held at Perotti Hall, where Mrs. Greenhill, mother of the bride, received the guests wearing a petrol green suit, with a navy velour hat, and navy accessories. She carried a posy of anemones. Mrs. Tennent, mother of the bridegroom, wore a, navy blue ensemble, with a navy hat relieved with white, and carried a posy of freesias and violets. Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Tennent left later by car, the bride travelling in a rust suit, a brown felt hat, and accessories to tone, and a fur stole, the gift of the bridegroom.
