BROKEN GLASS KILLS MAN

FELL WHILE HANGING PICTURE. SYDNEY. June 24. Patrick Seeley, 61, of Northbumberland Avenue, Stanmore, was killed hanging a picture at his home yesterday. He was placing the picture on a wall of the kitchen when he lost his balance and fell. The picture crashed over his head and the broken glass penetrated his throat, severing the jugular vein. The Newton and Marrickville Ambulance rushed to his house and stopped the haemorrhage, and took him to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. There a jagged piece of glass was extracted from his throat, but he had lost so much blood that he died soon afterwards.
