RIFLE SHOOTING. The opening shoot of the Greymouth Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club was held last evening. The conditions were one compulsory sight eland eight, counting shots, and lhe scores 1 wore as follow: — Miss Tilleyshort. 73, Miss Woollett 72, Miss Gray 72, Mrs Richardson 7(1, Mrs Manning- 70. Mrs Hughes 68, Miss Neubauer 67, Miss Hughes 67, Mrs Gilmour 61. Mrs Schaof 60. Miss Fox 60. CYCLING.
Large entries have been received for the Greymouth Cycling Club’s road race to Hokitika to he held to-morrow afternoon. All the most, prominent West Coast cyclists, including z J. Archer, who gained first and fastest time in the Blackball race, P. Duffy, I). Morland, M, Malone, Clarke and Sheldon will be riding. L. G. Savage, R. Williams and M. Jones have been back-markers in Canterbury road races, while J. Rhodes. E. Olsen and K. Hewlett, the Hokitika representatives, are expected to be well up at the finish. In addition to the cash prizes, the winner will receive two Cups, one donated by Mr. S. Me.Ara, and the other by Mr. D. Withers. Fastest time will carry the West. Coast 25 Mile Championship blue riblion.
