President Cardenas arrived here in a heavily-guarded train and demanded in a. speech that General Saturino Cedillo, Overlord of the State of San Luis Potosi, should surrender arms and munitions to the Government.

General Cedillo last night retired from the Army, List at his own request, after his refusal to take over command of the Michoacan military zone, ostensibly because of illness. General Cardenas gave General Cedillo a personal guarantee and demanded that he should place all his arms; and munitions in the hands of the authorities.

The action of the President in coming to the heart of the territory reported to be ready to revolt, has thrilled his supporters throughout the nation.
