ANNUAL MEETING Tlte annual meeting - of the Greymouth Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society was held last eveiyng. Mrs. B. E. Meade presiding over an attendance of about 20 members. The annual report, as follows, was adopted:—During the year ending March 31. the membership of the Grevmouth Sub-Centre totalled 62 members with another 2?. members residing ai Inchbonnie. During the year, first-aid classes were conducted, a total of 29 members securing passes in first-aid at. Greyrnouth. Executive meetings were bold ai regular inter-1 vals during the year. As a result ol an international appeal by the Red Cross Society, rhe Greymouth_ SubCentre raised the sum of £37/15/4, which amount was forwarded to Headquarters. Wellington. for relief in the Far East. The balance sheet, showing a credit balance, was read and adopted. The election of officers resulted: — Patron: Mr. W. Meldrum i re-elected t; President: Mrs. B. E. Monde l reelected); vice-president: Mrs. M. Mehlrnm (re-elected): secretary: Mrs. E. McDonnell: committee: Drs. .1. F. Moore. IL S. Ray and W. A. Bird. Mcsdamos A. Sharp. X. Thompson. .1. Tillyshnrt. Messrs. .1. Rothera and L. P>. Hutchison. Drs. Ray and Bird were appointed honorary surgeons. It was decided to commence classes in first-aid and homo-niirsing on May 21. A vote of thanks was accorded tlm retiring secretary. Mr. L. B. Hutchison.
