MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET. The Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union met last evening, there being present: Messrs. A. A. Adams (chairman), J. Guy, AV. G. Scott, J. Steel, D. R. Dowell, B. J. Kilpatrick, A. M. Jamieson, H. Silcock, F. W. Baillie, and 0. McLean (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs T. P. Ryan, F. Eggleton and J. Kyle. The transfer of G. Nelson (fourth grade) from United to Star Club was granted, subject to a written application endorsed by (he United Club, being made by the player. The Dispatch Foundry team was granted the use of a set of the Union’s jerseys for a match against a Railway Traffic team, at Cobden, on Sunday next, on the usual terms. The New Zealand Union wrote asking that nominations for the North — South Islands match be made by June 2. —Tho letter was referred to the selector, Mr. Steel, to submit nominations to the Union. MR. HOSKIN FAREAVELLED. At a meeting of the West Coast Rugby Referees’ Association, last evening, Mr C. H. Hoskin (President), who is to leave Greymouth shortly on transfer to Dunedin, was farewelled by members. Mr. AV. Rayley was elected President to replace Mr. Hoskin, and Mr. AV. F. Ellis was elected vice-president. Making the presentation of a Loewe to Mr. Hoskin, Mr. Rapley eulogised the splendid work done lor the game by Mr. Hoskin during his two years at Greymouth, and said his work as a, referee had been a splendid example to all. Members congratulated Mr. Hoskin on his promotion, and while regretting his departure very sincerely, they wished him and his] wife ami family every happiness and prosperity. Messrs. AV. AVilliams, T. Mclntosh, AV. McLaughlin, and A. A. Adams (President of the Union) also eulogised tho work of Mr. Hoskin, and added their good wishes.
