Mr. C. Buchan has resigned from the staff of the Dispatch Foundry, Greymouth, in order to join the Railways Department at Auckland. He win leave Greymouth on Saturday. Mrs. Buchan left to-day, for Auckland.

Mr. George T. Moss, accompanied by his daughter Mrs. W. D. Revington, Avill arrive from Christchurch, this afternoon, on a visit to his sons, Messrs C. and E. Moss.

Mr ’ and Mrs G. Wilson, Cowper Street, left to-day for Christchurch, where the marriage of their son, Mr Don Wilson, will take place on Saturday. They were accompanied by. Miss M. Wilson.

A cablegram from Tirana stated that King Zog and Countess Geraldine Apponyi Avere married at a civil ceremony in the Palace study. King Zog’s Avitnesses Avere Count Ciano, and Prince Abid, son of the Sultan Hamid. Tirana is given up to festivities.

Misses Mary Pollock and Edna Coumbe, whose marriages are to take place on Saturday, were met last evening by the members of the Marist Old Boys’ Football Club and presented with a crystal rose bowl and salad bowl respectively. In making the presentations, Mr. J. Griffen (President), referred to the excellent work dope by the recipients on the Club’s social committee and wished them health and happiness in the future. Messrs P. Blanchfield, and P. Sweetman also spoke.

The death occurred at Runanga, this morning, of Mr. William Sheard, aged 85 years, a native of Brighouse, Yorkshire. He arrived in New Zealand from Tasmania at the age of four years, going first to Invercargill, but seven years later joined his father at Byunner, where he spent the greater part of his life, leaving there in 1908 to reside in Runanga. His wife predeceased him in 1931. The late Mr. Sheard is survived by two sons, John William Sheard (State Mines Dept.), and M. K. B. Sheard (P. and T. Dept.), Greymouth; also a daughter, Mrs.' S. Kees (Karamea). The funeral will take place on Saturday, leaving Runanga at 2 p.m. for Karoro Cemetery.
