CANTERBURY SELECTORS. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. April 20. Messrs FT. 0. Jet'coate. N. B. Carnegie, and V. Craw will be selectors of -the Canterbury Rugby representative teams this year. At the anntraji meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union recently delegates abandoned the sole selector principle and decided on a committee of three, io be chosen by representatives of senior.clubs and sub-unions. MATCH AGAINST COAST. A West Coast Rugby team is to be invited to play Canterbury al Lancaster Park on the King’s Birthday. June. G. according to a decision of the Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union reached at a meeting last night. Suggested dates for some of Canterbury’s representative fixtures this season are: — June (>. v. West Coast. August (>. v. Southland. August 10, v. Otago. August 13, v. South Canterbury. August 17, v. West Coast. SELECTOR FOR AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND. April 20. At a. meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union, to-night, Mr F. AV. Luciap. a well-known former All Black threequarter, was elected senior selector, in succession to Mr J. H. M. Muir. Mr Lucas toured Great Britain and South Africa with the 1924 and' 192 S All Black teams respectively. He represented the Dominion against. New South Wales in 1923 and 1925. and the British team in 1930. He represented Auckland on 51 occasions between 1920 and 1930, and played for the North Island against rhe South in .192-1. 192 G. and 1929. 1N ANGA H U A MATCHES. Fixtures for Saturday.
