BLOMFIELD DEFEATS JENSEN. (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, April 19. In a professional wrestling bout tonight, Lofty Blomfield defeated Lee Jensen, gaining a fall in the last round with his famous octopus clamp. The bout was noted for the activity of the loser, who made the pace, but was unable to frustrate Blomfield’s great holds. There was an aspect of showmanship out of the ring, which delighted the crowd. Both wrestlers, the referee, Mr. Alexander Anderson, of Palmerston North, one of the association’s timekeepers, a senior-sergeant of police, and two constables figured in a short tussle, which ended in Jensen being flung amid the crowd. The police issued a warning, and there was no repetition of such tactics.
