management committee The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the W est Coast Rugby League was held last evening. In the absence of the President (Mi. A. H. South Island mtach would be played at Auckland on May 21. It was stated that the early dates selected was~ due to the fact that the New Zealand team was to leave for Australia on May 31. Mr Stokes said that he did not see how ’ they could play Inaugahua on April 30, in view of the fact that the chib fixtures were only to commence on Sunday. He thought that the best thing they could do was to suggest playing 1 nangahua on May 7 and Canterbury on May 14- They wanted at leash. two club fixtures before they could pick a, West Coast team. It was decided to telegraph the New Zealand Council for approval to alter the dates of the trial matches, as suggested by Mr. Stokes. The Kumara Convent. School was granted a football. On the application of the Runanga Club, N. Speakman was reinstated to the code, his name to be forwarded to the New Zealand Council, with a favourable recommendation. The Brunner Club nominated a junior team and forwarded nominations for the Management Committee. On their application the following were granted registration:--R. Smith (Addington), J. C. Sinclair (Grey Valley), and .1. Foster (Hornby), while Smith was also reclassified from senior to junior. The annual report and balance sheet of the New Zealand League, and the report of the special conference, were received. It was decided to commence the senior and junior competition fixtures next Sunday, the lower grades beingheld over for a week. Owing to the holiday week-end, it was decided to hold the Management Committee meeting next week on Wednesday, instead of Tuesday. FIXTURES FOR SUNDAY Senior: Ngahcre v.
