FIFIELD—BURT. The wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday, of Dorothy Mary, youngest, daughter of Mr and Mrs D. Burt, Ruby Creek, Blackball, and Joseph Henry, son of Mr and Mrs Fifield, England. Rev. H. R. Fell officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of cream shimmer satin. The bodice, which was prettily rucked to give a. sun-ray effect, was fastened at the back with small covered buttons. The skirt fell from the waist to form a long train. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a spray of orange blossom, and' she carried an armlet of cream dahlias, freezias and maidenhair fern. The necklace worn by the bride was of Scotch Agate stones, which had been in the family for five generations. The bridesmaid, Miss Trixie McNeil, wore a. frock of shell pink satin cloque, and carried a. bouquet of pink carnations, daisies, honeysuckle and maidenhair fern. Her head-dress took the form of a pink tulle fan finished with a posy of small pink flowers. The bride and bridesmaid wore gold armlets, gift of the bridegroom. Mr Lloyd Elsemore was best man. The reception was held at Harker’s, where the bride’s mother received her guests, wearing a black face cloth coat and peach bloom hat. The wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, yesterday morning, of Ellen Veronica, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Baird, Cobden, and. John William, only son of Mr. J. Keller and the late Mrs. Keller, Gladstone. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Gregory. who also performed the ceremony. Miss M. McSherry was at the organ and during the Mass, solos were given by Mjss Doreen Donovan and Mr. J. Duffy.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of cream slipper satin, cut on classical lines. , The bodice was macle with a V-neck and was buttoned from neck to waistline with tiny satin buttons, being finished with a spray of silk velvet flowers. The sleeves were finely rcuhed at the shoulder line and shaped to points over the hands. The skirt was panelled, the back panel being heavily rucked and falling to form a long oval train. Her long silkembroidered tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of tiny pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white dahlias, pale pink roses and maidenhair fern.

The bride was attended by her two sisters, Misses Kathleen (chie) and Eileen Baird-, who wore frocks of Marina blue satin, with overdresses of spotted net, cut on slim-fitting- lines. The neck, sleeves and hemline were finished with pleated net and satin hem, and sashes to tone with the frocks were worn. They wore silver halos and shoes and carried shower bouquets of pale pink dahlias, pinks and maidenhair fern, tied with silver ribbon. On leaving the Church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little nephew. Neil Culling. Mr. Ralph Baird and Mr. William Baird, brothers of the bride, were bestman and groomsman, respectively. The reception was held at Herb, Moore's, where the bride’s mother received the guests, wearing' a frock of black crepe romaine, trimmed with beige, under a black silk coat, black hat and accessories to tone. She carried a posy of mauve dahlias and roses. She was assisted by Mrs. M. Murphy (Christchurch), aunt of the bride, who wore a navy blue costume and hat, with accessories to tone, and carried a posy in apricot tonings. The wedding cake was the gift of Mr. and Mrs. Herb. Moore.

Keller left by tic rail-car for Christchurch and Dunedin, the bride travelling in a navy blue costume, velour hat and accessories to tone, and carrying a navy coat and long black stole. SHEPHERD—SCOTT. The marriage was solemnised on Thursday evening, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, of Syndsay McLay, youngest daughter of Mi-, and Mrs. R. Scott, of Reefton, and Gilbert Gardiner, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Shepherd, Rutherglen. Rev. H. R. Fell officiated. The bride, Who was escorted by her brother, was attired in a frock of white needlerun lace over satin, cut on slim fitting lines, the skirt forming a slight train. Her veil was held by a coronet of orange blossom, 'and she carried a bouquet, of water lilies, michelmas daisies and maiden-hair fern. The bride was attended by the bridegroom’s sister, Miss Jessie Shepherd. Her frock was of lemon tafefta, with a net sedingoli, trimmed with silver. She wore a halo of lemon net and silver leaves, and carried a, bouquet of zinnias and maidenhair fern. A neice of the bride, Renee Scott, as flower girl, wore an ankle length frock of green taffeta with silver and a halo of green net and silver leaves. She carried a posy to match. Mr. Ken Shepherd was best man.

At the reception, which was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. Dunwoodie, Karoro, the bride’s mother received the guests wearing a silk floral frock under a. black coat. Mr. and Mrs. G. Shepherd left later for South Westland, the bride wearing a navy and white model frock and cairying a navy coat with accessories to tone. DUNN—JAMIESON.
