WEATHER FORECAST. General Inference: Pressure is still rather high, to the east of New Zealand, while a depression is centred off the coast of Westland. A fresh and deep westerly depression has developed over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Moderate to strong and variable winds, but later northerlies again prevailing and freshening. Weather dull and misty, with rain in most places. Seas slight to moderate, but later rising.
