PAIRS’ CHAMPIONSHIP In perfect weather, and on greens at Greymouth, Karoro and Runanga, playing splendidly, good progress was made yesterday, with the pairs championship in the West. Coast-Buller combined Centres’ championship bowling tournament. Results after the “Star” went to press yesterday, were: — SECTION A. TO-DAYS PLAY. The pairs championship at the tournament is being advanced a further stage to-day, in ideal weather. Visiting bowlers are commenting favourably on the way the greens are playing, and one stated this morning, that no better could be expected anywhere in New Zealand.
