DEPTH OF THE BAR. The depth of the bar and river at high water yesterday was: Bar, 27ft; river, 22ft. ARRIVED. January 1: Kaitoa, s.s., 141 tons (Farmer), 8.35 p.m., from Motueka. SAILED. Nil. IN PORT. Kaitoa. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Waimea, Wellington, Wednesday. Rata, Wellington, Friday. PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Kaitoa, Onehunga, to-morrow. Waimea, Dargaville, early. Rata, Tarakohe, early. SHIPPING NOTES. Kaitoa arrived on Saturday night, from Motueka, to load timber for Onehunga. She is to sail to-morrow. "Waimea is due on Wednesday, from Wellington, to load coal for Dargaville. Rata is to leave Wellington on Wednesday for Westport, to load coal for Wanganui, completing at Greymouth on Friday, for Tarakohe. OTHER PORTS. MELBOURNE, January 3. Arrived, Gunbar, from Napier.—Sailed from Newcastle, Waikouaiti, for New Zealand. LONDON, January 2. Arrived at London. Middlesex. — Sailed, Trojan Star from Lourenco Marques.
