NEW ZEALAND CONGRESS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, December 30. Tho New Zealand chess congress was continued to-day, when two further rounds were played. Results: — Fifth'Round: Lynch beat Belton; Dunlop beat Hunter; Erskine beat Burry; Hindin beat Severne; Lang v. Newick; and McDermid v. McNabb, unfinished. Sixth Round: Erskine beat Hunter; Lynch beat McNabb; Newick beat McDermid; Lang beat Kelling; Belton drew with Dunlop; Burry v. Severne, unfinishedIn the premier reserve competition results were: — Sixth Round: Turner beat Allen; Lang beat Langley;. Sterry v. Christensen ami Hewitt v. McMillan, unfinished. Seventh Round: Turner beat Langley: Lang beat Christensen; Hewitt beat Sterry; Allen drew with McMillan. DUNEDIN, December 31. At the Chess Congress, in the third round, Hunter beat McDermid in the adjourned game. In the fourth round, Kelling beat Newick.
