YACHT TRAGEDY
PROPRIETOR FOUND SHOT [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LOS ANGELES, December 29. A coastguard cutter brought in the motor-yacht Aafge, which was found helplessly adrift off the Mexican coast. It is believed that the owner, Dwight Faulding, a wealthy hotel proprietor, who was on board had been shot dead. He had gone out on a cruise with five friends, three of whom wore women. The yacht was short of food and water. The vessel’s distress was first noted when a huge SOS was seen painted on the sails.
