WOMAN AND YOUTH KILLED.

MELBOURNE, December 30. Ruby Finch, aged 26, and lan Hayman, aged 17, were killed to-day when a rifle bullet accidentally struck and exploded a coalmine magazine at Kilcunda Beach, near Wonthaggi. The woman’s body was blown nearly 100 yards into the sea, and the youth s SO yards. Both were shockingly mutilated. They were lfclidaymakmg at Kilcunda, and went shooting. It is believed that a bullet was fired at a rabbit, and struck a magazine containing 12 cases of gelignite situated on a cliff overlooking the sea. There was a terrific explosion, which paitly wrecked two wooden dwellings, whose occupants suffered minor injuries. The noise of the explosion was heard two miles away.
