FURTHER DISTRICT TESTS.

[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.]

(Received December 10, 1.30 p.m.) LUCKNOW, December 9.

Two million more Indians “will go dry,” as the result of total prohibition, which is being enforced in six United Province districts as> an experimental measure.

Steps in the direction of a dry India, as visualised by Gandhi, have already been taken in Ahmedabad, where no liquor will be sold to Indians after April 1, 1938. Prohibition is also enforced in the Salem, district of the Madras Presidency. It is expected that similar, .measures will gradually be introduced - elsewhere.
