WEDDING

TENN ENT-CAMPBELL. 1 t St. Andrew’s Scots Memorial Prest byterian Church, Hokitika, was beauj tifully decorated last Saturday, for I the marriage of Robert Baird, elder T son of Mr and Mrs J. Tennent, of I Greymouth, to Muriel Jean, elder e daughter of Mr and Mrs W. H. Camp- _ bell, of Ruatapu. The ceremony was z conducted by Rev. Murray Feist. Mrs p J. Bruerton officiated at the organ. I The bride, who was escorted by j her father, was gowned in a gracet ful frock of parchment satin, of which the bodice, finished with a ; satin collar and tiny satin buttons, j and the large bell sleeves were of silk lace; her silk tulle veil, arranged ’ under a halo of orange blossom buds, 3 fell in dainty folds over the full circular train of her frock. Matching I satin shoes and a shower bouquet of . spring flowers and maidenhair fern > completed her ensemble. Miss Olive i Campbell, sister of. the bride, at- , tended, as bridesmaid, attractively attired in a delicately shaded pink silk frock worn over colanese satin. The ’ slightly rucked sleeves on this em- • pirn stylo model struck an unusual note. A halo of dainty flowers cn- . twined in silver leaves and a bouquet of cyclamen and abutilion were of the same tones of pink. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horse-shoe by wee Jean Blank. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr W. Tennent. At the reception, the guests Were received by Mrs W. Campbell, wearing a, nigger-brown, pin-striped costume with a matching hat of ballibuntal straw, and a brown fur stole, with a spray of friesias and maidenhair fern. She was assisted as hostess by Mrs J. Tennent, who wore a navy blue costume and a hat of Baku .straw, with a grey fur in which was a spray of scarlet anemones and fern. Mr and Mrs R. B. Tennent, who intend to reside in Hokitika, left on a motor tour of the South Island. The bride travelled in a model frock of bottle green niatalasse with matching accessories, and carried a smart coat of green flecked tweed. ADDISON—RAYNER. The wedding took place at Westport, on Monday, of John Joseph, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Addison, of Greymouth, and Ivy Josephine, second daughter of Mr. J. R. Rayner, of Westport. Rev. Father Summers officiated. Miss Joyce Rayner, sister of the bride,, was bridesmaid and Mr. Patrick O’Donnell, of Greymouth, was best man.
