MAY BARONET. SYDNEY, February 19. A middle-aged bank official 'in Sydney is likely to become 14th baronet of Casewick. His succession depends on whether his elder brother, v.ho died in Hong Kong last year, left any male issue. It is known that the brother married late in life, but it is not yet known whether he had any children. The Sydney bank official is Frederic Ferrand Trollope, who is officer in charge of branch securities in the head office of the Commonwealth Banking Company at Sydney. He is single-, and lives in Shirley-road, Wollstone-
craft. Information in Sydney is that the title carries .with it no substantial estates. According to the London “Daily Mail,” however, there : re large estates in Lincolnshire. The “Daily Mail” says that the Victorian novelist, Anthony Trollope, belonged to a branch of the family. ; The title is an old one. It was cre.at-| ed in February, 1 642. Sir Thomas Tioilopo was the first baronet c.f Casewick. Tim first three baronets were • hcrlffs of Lincolnshire, where William Trollope, of Thurlby and bourne, father of the first baronet, had bought the manor of Casewick in U flington. The seventh baronet. John, was created first Baron Kestcven of Casewick in 1868, but the barony became extinct hl 1915 when the third Laron, Thomas Carew, died of wounds received in action on a transport off the Algerian coast. The baronetcy devolved upon his cousin, Sir William Henry Trollope. the tenth Baronet of Casewick. The last holder of the title succeeded lo it lust year at an elderly age.
