BUILDERS’ CONFERENCE

ELECTION OF OFFICERS [PEB PEISS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU, February 25. The annual conference of the New Zealand Federated Builders’ and Contractors’ Association was continued at Timaru to-day. The executive was instructed to watch carefully any proposals introduced by the Government for the framing of apprentices and ensure that time should be allowed to associations before passing legislation. It was decided that to reduce the cost- of- building, the Government be asked, to remove the-sales tax.
