ENGLISH MISSIONARIES
ATTACKED BY JAPS. [BY CABLE —PBESB ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Reed. February 26, 8 a.m.) TOKIO, February 25. Five Englishwomen missionaries in Higashikozu, a village near Osaka, who were sheltering two girls who had escaped from a disorderly house, were attacked by the proprietor of the house and thyee other men, armed with sticks, attempting to recapture the girls. They beat two of the missionaries unconscious.
The police arrested two of the attackers.
