Though 90 miners are still engaged in the search for the last body in the Wonthaggi disaster, no trace has yet been found. A strike which was in progress when (he disaster occurred, ended to-day, the miners accepting the management’s offer to re-engage as a surface worker, the trimmer around whom the disputes centred. Nearly 300 men are workless as the result, of the disaster. Number twenty shaft will be employed as an extra shift to other pits.
