HANDCUFFS FILED THROUGH [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN.—COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. Feb. 20, Noon). LONDON February 19. John Green, 19, and a youth, 16, were charged with stowing away from New Zealand aboard the Rangitane. It was alleged that they were troublesome, and were handcuffed. They walked ashore at Jamaica. They had filed the handcuffs through with a knife. Green was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment. His companion was sent to a remand home.
