SHIPPING NOTES. Karu sailed early this morning for Miramar, Wellington and Petone. She returns from Wellington to Bruce Bay, and thence to Greymouth, to load timber for Petone and Miramar. Kaimiro is to sail this afternoon, for Wellington. Rata left Wellington last evening for Nelson, Tarakohe, Westport and Greymouth. She is due here to-mor-row evening, to load coal for Tarakohe and coal and timber for Picton, and is scheduled to sail on Monday. Hokitika was to leave Wellington last night for Tarakohe, Greymouth and Hokitika, and is due here to-mor-row. Kiwitea is expected to leave Wellington to-day, with cargo for Greymouth. She is due to-morrow night, and loads on Monday for Wellington. Poolta left Auckland last night, -with cargo for Greymouth, and loads here on Monday for return to Auckland. Kauri is expected about Tuesday, from Wellington, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. OTHER PORTS SYDNEY, February 19. Arrived, Awatea, from Auckland. AUCKLAND, February 19. SUVA, February 19. H.M.S. Leith is expected to arrive to-morrow, sailing on February 2G.
