Mr. Chandler Hovey, a Boston banker, has purchased from Mr. Harold Vanderbilt the yacht Rainbow, the 1934 America’s Cup defender. He has announced that he will race Rainbow against Mr. Vanderbilt’s new yacht Ranger for the defence of the Cup.! The move is welcomed by the Cup| committee of the New York Yacht Club, which has hitherto been worried] at the lack of a worthy opponent for Ranger.
