LATE MESSAGES
WELLINGTON, February 17. Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, announces the setting up of a committee consisting of Messrs Thorn, M.P. for Thames, E. Sliced (Department of Industries), and M. W. Young (Marine Department), as tha Fisheries Investigation Committee. It will conduct its investigations at the main ports and other centres. Evidence will be taken from all interests having a direct bearing upon the welfare and development of the industry. When the report is presented, the Government will be in a position to take whatever steps are deemed necessary, under the Industrial Efficiency Act, to bring units of the industry up to the degree of efficiency and service which will go a long way towards establishing it as one of the most important in the Dominion. TOKIO, February 17. Commenting on the German agitation to recover colonies, M. Arnau said: We have not been approached respecting our mandated territories, and do not expect it. because Germany knows how necessary these islands ait to Japan. MEXICO CITY February 16. The Mexican Tennis Association has announced that the Davis Cup tie, Australia v. Mexico, will be played here on April .30.
