Following a report that Chiang Kai-shek had forbidden the Government to start hostilities against his captors, the Government announced' that orders allegedly proceeding from Chiang Kai-shek will not be recognised while he is not a free agent. Military preparations are proceeding. A NEW PREMIER. (Recd. December 19, 11 a.m.) GENEVA, December 18. The formei- Premier, Wang Chi’.igwei, left for China. He has been asked to become Chinese Premier.
