The Duke of Kent will open on Monday in the House of Lords the first session of the twenty-third re-union of the International Colonial Institute, which will meet all next week in London.
MOTOR EXHIBITION
RUGBY. October 3.
The thirtieth International Motor Exhibition will open at. Olympia on October 15. The exhibition is expected to disclose more new models_than any previous event. Representatives from 45 overseas countries have signified their intention to attend. There will be approximately 500 cars on view, ranging from £3OOO to £lO in price.

The Warsaw correspondent of “The Times” says Poland now demands a place in the sun. Government newspapers strongly emphasise the dynamic increase of population and the lack of raw materials, and indicates the Government’s intention to press at Geneva for facilities for overseas migration and access to raw materials. JARROW MEN’S MARCH. LONDON, October 5. Carrying an oak casket containing a petitiori with 11,572 signatures, pleading for work in the Jarrow shipyards, and heavy industries, which is be'ing presented to Parliament, 200 unemployed men started to march to London. The Bishop of Jarrow blessed the marchers, who are accom-, panied by medical' students, a cook, / and a barber. '
