ORDERS FOR 'JAPAN. [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN.——COPYRIGHT. 1 LONDON. October 5. The Manchester correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says manufacturers are concerned because substantial Empire orders for Coronation flags have been placed with Japanese instead of British makers. A representative of one firm said Japanese Union Jacks wore selling in South Africa below the English, cost of production. The idea of British children celebrating the Coronation waving Japanese flags was distasteful. Manchester has already shipped the first, consignement of Coronation flags to the Dominions.
