LEAGUE FOOTBALL
THACKER SHIELD FINAL. The West Coast final of the Thacker Shield competition, between Waratah (Reefton) and Marist, the unbeaten Greymouth team, which takes place at Wingliam Park to-moi-row afternoon, promises to be the premier club fixture of the season. The Waratah team includes J. Cutbush (who has just returned from England), N. Kiely, P. Scott, and G. August, and they should produce football of a high standard. Exceptional interest is being taken in the match, and there will be a large attendance at Wingham Park if weather conditions are favourable. The onlv senior club game to-mor-row, will be a Bradshaw Cup match, between Blackball and Ngahere, at Blackball. Both these teams went well last week-end, and another interesting match should result. Junioi games will be played at Kumara and Dunollie, and a third grade game is set down for Dunollie at 1.30 p.m. Marist senidrs v. Waratah: —Pollock, Devonport, A. Beban, Roberts, O’Brien. O'Connor, Casey, J. Beban. Anisy, Walsh, Seguin, Williams. Scott, and Burger.
