WAIUTA, August 11
The annual ball of the Waiuta Catholic parishioners was held in the Miners’ 1-lall on Saturday evening. The Hall was prettily decorated with streamers of white, green and gold, and coloured lights. The supper arrangements were in charge of a ladies’ committee who served supper. Novelties were won by Miss A. Hocking and Mr. Lines, Miss B. Tomlinson and Mr. Luke and Miss E. Kennedy and Mr. Kildare. The music was supplied by the Broadway B.oys’ Orchestra. Extras were played by Mrs. S. Ramsden. The floor was’in charge of Mr. Roy Bartlett.
