HOCKEY. The following players have been selected to take part in a hockey trial match at Cobden Domain on Sunday: Mettrick, Sloss, A. Carter, Vaughan, Coffey (vice-captain), Perrin (captain), M. Eatwell, De Freatus, Weir, Crase, S. Knapp. Ernerg.: Beckman, Sequin, Burns, D. Knapp, Grogan, Panckhurst and Newton. GREYMOUTH BOXING ASSN. The Greymouth Boxing and Wrestling Association has nominated Billy Hawes, holder of the West Coast featherweight championship, for the New Zealand amateur championships, which will be conducted at Wellington, on September 4, 5 and 6. The Association is endeavouring to arrange for a wrestling contest to take place at Greymouth on August 29. Paul Boesch has agreed to wristle at Greymouth, on that date, and the Association is endeavouring to book a suitable opponent.
