STRUGGLE WITH TWO YOUTHS.

GOSFORD (N.S.W.), July 30

■While walking, along the railway line from Point Clare at 11.30 last night, Mr. Warren Eggins, amateur heavyweight wrestling champion of the North-west was set upon by two heav-ily-built youths. Eggins heard moans, and a voice called out, “Do you know anything about broken legs?” He moved to where a youth was lying, and, on bending down, a second youth, who weighed about 13 stone, jumped on him. Both youths then attacked Eggnis, and a fight ensued for about five minutes.

During the struggle Eggins heard a .train approaching, and he hurled one of the youths over his shoulder down the embankment. The other youth followed his companion, but they re,turned to the attack after the train had passed. Eventually they ran off.

Eggins stated that during the encounter one of the youths drew a knife, but dropped it when seized by the wrist.
