BOY KILLED BY BUS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, August 9. Fatal injuries were suffered by a five-year-old boy, Brian Kennedy, when he was run over by a motor bus in Point Chevalier Road on Saturday afternoon. The boy was the son of Mr. J. Kennedy, of Point Chevalier. CHILD DROWNED. GISBORNE, August 8. A Maori child, May Tuihana McGuire, the three-year-old daughter of William McGuire, was drowned in a well at Makaraka yesterday. Deceased, who had been visiting Mrs. T. Halbert, -wandered away and when a search was made, her body was discovered in the well. CYCLIST KILLED. TEMUKA, August 9. John Bate, an elderly man, living near Temuka, was killed instantly about 7 p.m. to-day, while cycling on the Main South road about two miles north of Temuka. He received terrible head injuries, of which he died before any medical assistance could be given. Bate was cycling towards Temuka to attend an evening church service, MINER CRUSHED. GORE. August 10. A fall of earth at King Solomon mine at 7 40 this morning crushed and killed n single man, George Russell, 22, years, whoso mother, Mrs Clenient:;',' resides at Timaru. Deceased had been working as a miner for a number of years. ]
