[OUB OWN CORKEBPONDENT.j —' — | REEFTON, August 10. j Snow fell at Waiuta on Friday night and on Saturday, and although for two or three days Reefton was threatened with a fall, no snow eventuated. Saturday was a bitterly cold day, with light showers of rain which
at nightfall became very steady. Sun-j day temperatures were much milder, though rain again set in at eventide.l The Oddfellows’ ball, on Friday night, held in the Criterion Theatre, was enjoyable. The Broadway Boys’ Dance Band, unuer Mr Don s leadership, supplied the music. The Monte Carlo foxtrot was won by Miss Farrell and partner, and Mesdames Nicholls and Eklund played extras. Members of sister lodges from Blackball, Greymouth and Westport attended.
