RUGBY, August 6.

Tho London Passenger Transport Board has issued orders for work to begin on a £40,000,000 development scheme as soon as' the act endorsing tho scheme has received the Royal assent. The underground extension to be carried out during the next five years will particularly benefit passenger transport in north and north-east London. It is estimated that the work will give employment directly and indirectly to 35,000 workers for five years.
