f OTjR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Captain Laskey (Salvation Army) returned yesterday from a holiday spent in Wellington. Mrs. Higson, Dobson, who has been a patient in the Grey Hospital for some time, was discharged tliis week. Wallsend mine worked four shifts this week and five the previous week. Dobson mine worked five this week and foui’ the previous week. A number of unemployed Brunner men commenced work at the Kiwi crossing yesterday. Mr. S. A. Fry, Christchurch, is on a visit to this district.
