[PER press association.]

WANGANUI, July 22

Bob Kruse beat Sam Leathers in a 'professional wrestling bout to-night, gaining two falls to one. The winner specialised in wristlocks, and successfully countered Leathers’s figure-four

scissors. Kruse got a full in the third round with a body-press after a scries of reverse wristlocks. Leathers equalised in the fifth round, gaining a submission fall with a figure-four scissors. In the seventh round Leathers had Kruse in a figure-four scissors, applied to the head, but Kruse turned over cleverly and pinned the points of Leathers’s shoulders to the mat to gain a lull. Ironically enough, Kruse was unable to rise for some time after the hold had been broken. Finally he was assisted to his feet to be declared the winner.
