Mr J. Masters. Christchurch, is on a, holiday visit to Runanga.

At the monthly meeting of the St. Thomas’ Mothers’ Union, seven new members were enrolled. Rev. \V. A. Marks gave an address on “Answering Children’s Questions.” Afternoon lea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Wright. Kennedy and Smith. The meeting closed with prayer read by Mrs Marks.

Ar. the fortnightly social of the Cooperative Women’s Guild, there was a good attendance. Competitions and musical items were held, and Mrs .1. Hewison won the whist prize.
