FORGED NOTES. SYDNEY, July 21.
Police headquarters have obtained possession of several forged New Zealand Reserve Bank notes, the denominations of which have been changed' from 10/- and £1 -to £lO by the use of acids and the manipulation of figures. Bank experts had the greatest difficulty in detecting the forgeries, hut the fact that the New Zealand Reserve Bank does not issue £lO notes left no doubt that somebody had been tampering with the notes, and showing an excellent profit. The police have warned tradespeople in all States.
