John Ryland’s Library, Mancheser. publishes the text of two Bibli:al papyri discovered in an Egyptian •übbish heap.
>The. most important consists of four fragments of the Book of Deuteronomy written in the second century B.C. 'Phus it is 300 years older than the oldest Biblical manuscript previously known, and is the only existing pre-Christian evidence for the text of the Old Testament.
