TRACING OF GLOVED HANDS. LONDON, June 9. Now methods of developing latent finger prims are resulting in f< stead} increase in the number of finger prims found at the scenes of crimes. Just as important aie new methods, gradually being adopted, of taking prints from materials which formerly did not respond to treatment. Prints, which otherwise would not have been discovered, are now brought to light by secret processes. Some of these are still in the experimental stage. There have been several recorded cases in this country and abroad in which finger prints have been traced f roll , - ’ ’ - ’"ch was wearing a glove. . ~ believed that this method may develop to an extent far beyond what has already been achieved. Ai present much depends on the type of glove used and the surface oil which the imprint is made. 'Flic finger-print department is becoming one of the most, important at Scotland Yard. Last year 21,767 identifications were effected from 55,59!i sets of finger prints sent for search.
