REVIVING MARRIAGE MARKET

LEAP YEAR CHOICE.

MOUREN (Brittany), June 7

The old Breton custom of a “marriage market” will be revived here tomorrow, when all marriageable young girls of the region will entertain bachelors at luncheon.

This “Boys’ Fair” will take place in the public square. Young men, dressed in their Sunday' suits, will await the arrival of the girls, also dressed in their best finery. The girls will select the bachelors of their choice and invite them to luncheon. After luncheon a proposal is expected. The “marriage market” is to be presided over by the Prefect of the Department of Morbihan, the Bishop of Vannes, and the Maritime Prefect of Lorient.—British United Press.
