INTOXICATED DRIVERS
ANOTHER SENT TO PRISON [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, July 3. In the Police Court, John Thomas Neill was sentenced to 21 days’ imprisonment for driving a motor car while intoxicated. His license was suspended and he was prohibited from driving for two ■ years. The police stated that accused struck a telegraph post, and knocked a man off a bicycle. WELLINGTON SENTENCE. WELLINGTON, July 2. Francis William Hawthorne, as the result of striking a safety zone at night, was fined £lO to-day for being intoxicated while in charge of a car, and had his license cancelled for 12 months.
