SIX-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT. The annual six-a-side hockey tournament is to be played at the Recreation Ground on Tuesday, commencing at 9 a.m. Twelve teams have been entered, and the dVaw is as follow: — Section A: Cobden A v. Thistle; Thistle v. Wesley B; Wesley B V. Cobden A. Section B: Pacific v. Cobden B; Rovers v. Pacific; Rovers v. Cobden B. Section C: Mawhera v. Trinity; Mawhera v. Kumara A; Trinity v. Kumar?, A. 1

Section D: Tahua v. Wesley A; Wesley A v. Kumara B; Kumara B v. Tahua.

Semi-finals: Winner Section A v. winner Section B; winner Section C v. winner Section D.

Each game will be played in two seven-minute spells without interval. The final will be ten minutes each way, with an interval of two minutes. Pacific v. Mawhera, 2.45, to-morrow: Smith, Coffey, Seguin, Messenger, Williams, Dixon, Crase. Heaton, Knapp (2), Restieaux and Jarvis. Wesley v. The clothing of women hockey players was discussed at a meeting to-night of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association, when it was decided to ban the wearing of divided skirts. Opinion was divided.
