BRUSSELS, June 18. r I went y thousand struck, bringing the total of idlers in Belgium to 400.000, a determined, but futile, effort. was made to induce the transport workers in tho Belgian back country to join the strike.
Troops occupied many Liege factories in order to prevent sabotage. Tho strikers are holding up travellers’ ears, demanding contributions to the strike funds.

BARCELONA, June IS
Office and store employees, accountants and waiters, have struck. Many shops arc closed. Newspapers lack staffs, but the food supply is assured. Several bombs have l boon thrown, without effect.
PEACE IN PARIS. PARIS, June 18. The strike at the Louvre department stores has ended.
