HOUSE BREAKERS’ PLEA
NOWHERE TO GO AT NIGH’ 7 ’ LONDON, April 29. Two 16-year-old boys pleaded guilty in Croydon County Juvenile Court yesterday to three charges of housebreaking in the St. Helier district, and admitted that they were concerned in many more.
A detective stated that one of the bojs used nothing but American slang, and said when rested, “Okay, chief! You guys are certainly gonna make it a tough break for me and my pard.” The boys told the Bench they had been committing the offences for many weeks because they had nothing to do on getting home from work. There was no place of recreation on the St. Holier -estate they could use in the evenings. i
They were ordered to be sent to .an approved school.
